I can't do a lot of exercsing because of damaged lungs; I am suppose to do some though; here's my dilema; the tred mill is really boring and I don't get anywere's on it and now that it's winter I found that the cold weather gives me coughing attacks and when wearing something over my mouth it feels kinda like I'm suffactoting; so how do I exercsie more? I'm at a total lost.

i would go to a physical therapist and ask what type of exercises you could do. they would know a lot because they work with people all day with everytype of health problem or body problem known. i hope this helped you

I was in physical therapy for awhile to gain my strength back. There I did the tred mill, the bike on other things. I just wish there was a way to make the tred mill fun; it doesn't work watching T.V and doing it for I can't hear the T.V; reading on the tred mill is a bit hard(I have tried). So I am at a lost. Maybe I will just have to make myself do it.
Thanks so much.

well, the only way I can do the treadmill is if I have the t.v. on. I turn the volume way way up and just start walking. I usually turn on a talk show or something I am interested in to keep my attention focused on the show, rather than on how long I am walking absolutely nowhere! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif Also, I used to BLAST the stereo to some of my old favorite 70's tunes and would sing along loud and walk. I would suggest that you do this when no one else is around...you sort of look and sound silly doing it! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif Good luck
