I assume your still fairly young. A good weight lifting program, that is supervised, eating 6-8 well balanced meals a day would be a good start. Stay away from the special supplements that lifters like to take. They are hard on your body and some are dangerous.
As you grow older and your hormones level out and your body quits burning calories so fast you will start gaining more rapidly.

I'm just HAD to reply to this......in my whole entire 41 years of life I can honestly tell you that I've NEVER ever ever had your problem. How I WISH it was a problem. To actually say, "Oh, I need to gain weight" is like a freakin dream of mine. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif I, too, have more than enough that I can share with you...just say the word and it's yours for the asking! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

If you are working out with weights and you are not gaining any weight, you are simply not eating enough. People like yourself who have trouble gaining weight, should consume 15 times their bodyweight. I know that this sounds extreme, but give it a try I'm sure you'll gain weight. Keep in mind that you should only gain about 1 to 2 pounds a week if you are gaining more than this, cut back on your calories whereas if you still aren't gaining, add 200 more calories.

if your trying to gain weight, eating a big meal before bed is a good idea, also some tips are, never allow yourself to go hungry, and eat beyond fullness

u dont need supplements, but if your going to eat more calories, which is required to gain weight, it might be hard to get those calories only eating whole foods,a protein supplement or a weight gainer is a good idea, the company does not matter i would just get the least expensive one.

Ive had that same problem for a while....
I'm 18 now and I seem to be gaining a little weight. My best guess is that its just an age/hormone thing and everyone is different. Some of us just arent put together like those "jocks" or "football players" !!!

My best advice, just eat as much as possible. Always eat. Eat eat eat. Yeah, calories are great, protein, whatever.... just EAT as much as you can whenevre you can and work out 3 times a week... every other day is best so you your muscles have time to rebuild...otherwise youre just breaking them down more by overworking them.

Goodluck man, give it some time.
