Hi Everyone....

Well I'm exteremly depressed, here are my symptoms:

Tremor in left hand, it really shakes when I bend it, it will shake when I hold it out straight, and when I put it on my lap, no tremors when it's by my side or when I'm laying down on my back watching TV. I don't have problems with walking or anything else. Do these symptoms sound like PD????? My Dr is setting up an appointment with a Neurologist. I'm also, going through Menopause as well....Got to love it!!! Any thoughts?

Doesn't sound like PD to me. Your tremor sounds more like an 'action' or 'postural' tremor, which isn't characteristic of PD at all - rest tremor is the classic symptom of PD, which means you WOULD see tremor when resting your hand by your side or laying down.

Also other symptoms associated with PD you don't seem to have: shuffling walk, balance problems, stiffness etc.

It's good that you're seeing a Neurologist of course, but I doubt it's PD - could be something like Essential Tremor which is much more common (and I think less debilitating) than PD. Good luck. :)

What is pill rolling??? I have had a problem with my elbow for over a year, a lot of pain, didn't use my arm much, Dr sid it was advanceTendentise, then I started to have tremors in my left hand, which has been going on for about 5 months.....The more I read the more upset I get!!!!!! I think I'm reading way to much into this and I get more worried by the minute...The "postural tremor sounds more what I have as far as the tremor....I don't shuffle when I walk, I don't have balance problmes. I think I'm going crazy.....

I'm not exactly sure what "pill rolling" is (I don't have PD myself, but my grandad did), I believe it's a tremor between the thumb and forefinger which looks like holding a round pill between thumb and forefinger and rolling it back and forth.

If tremors in your left hand are the only symptom, I wouldn't worry about anything serious (like PD) at this point - in fact if you've got bad tendonitis then I think this can actually cause tremor itself.
