I've been on birth control for a few years now and this hasn't happened in ages:
It's been about a week and a half after my period and ever since Sunday I've had a very light brown discharge. I was at the gynocologist's for a PAP on Tuesday and she said the discharge sounded normal. Still, it hasn't gone away yet and it's really annoying. Anyone else experienced similar problems??

Yes, and it is annoying. It should go away on its own, but if it doesn't in a few more days, call your gyn's office and just let them know. It might make your pap come back abnormal as well.

i had the mirena IUD since june of 06 and never got a real period, just that brown discharge ALL THE TIME! i had it so often that my doc had to give me a prescription cream to keep on hand because i was always having vaginal infections like yeast.
i had it removed today so hopefully the discharge will go away with it!

Not sure if you knew this or not, but a PAP can cause spotting and/or bleeding to occur. I know you said you had the pap done after the spotting started, but the actual test causes some women to have some bleeding afterwards. My gyne always gives me a pad afterwards just in case, and more often than not, I find I need it for a day or two afterwards.
