 Does anyone have any idea how you're supposed to take Provera when it's been prescribed for you because of having your period too often?
I know there are certain times of the month that I'm supposed to take it,and certain times when I'm not supposed to. I only take it because of my period, and my doctor isn't available at the moment. Thanks! rhonda:) :) :;)

Hi Rhonda
Didn't your Dr give you instructions on when he/she wanted you to take it? I tried Provera for a few months due to irregular periods. I was to take it from days 12-25 of the month (day 1 being the day your period starts) It didn't work well for me. My period continued to start whenever it darn well felt like it LOL. I'm in peri menopause though so that could be why. Also had the worse mood swings and breast tenderness on it. Tried it for about 4 months and had enough of that:eek: I've just now started trying Prometrium which is a natural progesterone. Hopefully that will work better. Hope the Provera works better for you!

 ..... I was also on provera and it didn't work for me either. I was then switched to prometrium and that also didn't work :blob_fire .... So now I'm just using the progestrone cream and doing just great on that. Call your pharmacy if doc's out of town they will probally tell you how to take your script....... Dee
