I recieved my letter yesterday and they denied me.

It says that my conditions my limit my activities., but they arn't severe enough to become disabled at this time.

Based on my age and my education I can do some type of work.

I do have a ssi app tomorrow, now I am wondering if I should even go or not, I have thought about waiting on this and drawing out my unemployment and see If I can find a different job I can do and If I can't, Apply again, I am still having treatments I have one this coming Monday, They are burning root tips in facet joints,

Any Ideas would be appricated.

Hello....Was that your first time apply and your first denial? Even so, keep appealing...Do not re-file, but appeal...Most everyone is denied the first and second time applying...Keep going...AND yes go to your appointment....

Yes it was my first time to apply, I applied back in October, filed for ssi but got turned down because of retirement money, I got it out and spent it down paying of cc and other stuff,

Sounds like you were entitled to SSDI instead of SSI. Suggest that you review the SSD website:

http://www.ssa.gov/disability/

Good luck!

I agree. though SSD is also a waiting game SSI has much higher criteria for an approval and you can have no more than $2000. SSD doesn't have anything to do with owning a home or money in the bank.

By going to the SSD website.

Also, if you were employed, every year around your birthday you should have received in the mail a booklet from SS called Social Security Statement which tells you in detail how much $$$ you will get when you retire or if you ever become disabled & it list the dates of every job you have ever had in your entire life.

When you apply for SSI and/or SSDI the disability amount in the booklet is pretty much the same amount (or a little higher as the cost of living goes up every year) you are going to get if you are fully approved.
