Hi,

I've had this issue over the last few years when I stand up quickly, sometimes I get floaters in my field of vision and my left foot goes numb/dead. Numb foot lasts for ten minutes or so, floaters in field of vision about an hour, during which time I cannot read my screen here at work (or see much of anything else come to think of it). After those initial symptoms go away, I feel tired/have a bit of a headache. Next day I'm usually okay/back to normal.

Anyway, not sure if ths is related by since around xmas time, I've had a pounding heart, especially noticable when I'm lying down to try and get some sleep (it is preventing me doing so). I get a sense I'm going to have a heart attack any moment - although I have no pain in my chest at all. My heart sometimes misses a beat or adds one in. It's quite scarey.

Any idea whats going on here? I'm going to see my GP next week sometime when I can get an appointment. I'm 35 years old with no history of heart/cardiovascular trouble.

Although I am no Doctor and happy that you've made your appointment I'm not sure if your symptoms are related to one another. IE the floaters in your field of vision; is it like stars? You know, when you stand-up fast and get light-headed sometimes I have seen stars but it's only for a minute or less. As far as the numb foot; I'm curious as to what your doctor says; I have had a pain in my heels since being diagnosed with Broken Heart syndrome and PVC's but think they're unrelated/coincidental to my heart issues. I would "guess" your symptoms are from high-blood pressure. I have had the heart pounding thing for about 2 years now and have been told that it may be high-blood pressure......good luck to you.
