Hi all:
I went to had my ICD check-up on and everything was fine but if I am
still having pain by next week the doctor said as the last restort he
would do surgery. Not sure what he would do with the device though. I
went to my PCP as well cuz the ICD doctor send me there so my PCP send
me home with some aleve. If aleve doesn't work then I will be having
surgery.
Take Care

Implantable Cardiac Defibrillator?
If I remember correctly , yours MOVED and is causing pain?
Aleve is a good analgesic but I doubt it will help much for you.,,and you can't take naproxen forever.

Hey Leah..just wondering why you have this in the first place. Do you suffer from v-tach? I have v-tach. But the h/rate is slow v-tach. . how do you feel about the icd? Pleae be honest and do not spare me!!? Do you regret geting it? Does it ever fire off and it's not really a serious arrhythmia? Thanks..hope all is better for you.

Well, I pray you feel better. There is nothing, I have found out recently, worse than fear!!!!! I too suffer from short bursts of v-tach. It scares me so much, I think if I let it, it would ruin my life. Well, it HAS definitely changed a lot. Could you , if you don't mind..tell me about your v-tach? I would like to know how often you get it and how long it lasts, and if it is sustained or non sustained. Mine is only short burst at the moment. Maybe every few weeks. I have "accelerated idioventricular arrhythmia". Which is just a "fancy" term for slow v-tach. Per my electrophisiologist. He says my H/R is not the usual criteria for v-tach, BUT HE SAYS IT'S STILL V-TACH. Please try to stay calm. it's easier said than done huh? I am not sleeping well at all, because as soon as I start to fall asleep, I have a run of PVC's. Life will go on I suppose!! God Bless! mimi
