Hello,

I am new here. Just stumbled across you guys. Anyway, I got a new Ab Slide today and worked on it for the first time. I tried it tonight and people had told me that it was very difficult on the first try and all. My stomach is a little tight, but not very much. I did 5 sets of 10...should I have felt it more in my abs as I was doing it, or could it be that I underestimated my own strength? Or could it be that I will be sore tomorrow and regreting ever doing it?
Just curious,
Nicole

I bought an Abslide and returned it b/c like you I did what i thought was a lot and felt nothing.

It looks convincing on the commercial, but I don't think this piece of "equiptment" does anything worth $40.

Just my opinion.

Thanks for the information. Today, I still don't really feel anything other than actually in my back. It doesn't feel like I hurt it, it's just sore. I am gonna hang in there with this for a little while longer and see if I can get some results. Maybe I just have to play with the technique a bit. It's just a shame it didn't come with more or better instructions.

From posts that I've put out there and the responses I got I can tell you that every ab-machine is a waste of money. I've tried a lot of them and inquired about a lot more. The only way to truly get results in the midsection is to diet. If you do regular crunches and leg lifts you can work the ab muscles very well. I didn't start seeing results until I carefully watched my diet and did good old crunches and leg lifts. Personnally I think you wasted your money.

I just got the ab slide 3 weeks ago paid 30$ for it. I do a denise austin hard ab tapes daily for about a year, but I got kind of bored and my upper stomache muscle was protudring I consulted a friend who is a trainer and he said by contiously doing crunches it shortens the muscle while making it hard so he told me I needed to elonggate my muscles and he did reccomend floor excersizes I can do. But instead I went out and bought the ab slide right away I felt a difference I do 3 (seperate sets) a day a count of 20 to the front, and 20 to each side repeated (3x), I can tell you I had slight muscle pain in my shoulders and lower abs, but it felt great. After reading everybodys replies, I hope this ab thing is going to work for me. I think I will call my friend tonight and tell him what I bought, jope he doesnt laugh to hard...by the way my stomache does seem tighter,One can only hope. Please let me know if anybody had success with an ab product. Thanks...sorry so long message

I guess I'm in the minority but I love my abslide! :) It's helped me finally get a good six-pack going on.

I've had it for 3 weeks now and I definately do feel a difference from my old ab work outs. I am doing in combination with crunches and such because I seem to have injured my arm and it hurts to use the Ab Slide right now. Has anyone else experienced problems with their wrists while using it?

I'm 15... and I've been using my abslide for about 2 weeks... After the first week.. I don't feel the burn in my stomach any more... In a way, I can feel my abs get tighter, but I can see no visible result... My abs are still Flabby, especially that area from my belly button and below, the lower abdominals.... Am I doing any thing wrong? OR should I wait till after 30 days and see..?I am not looking for 6 packs... just a lean, toned stomach so I'd look good in a bikini in the summer... I currently weigh 125 pounds and is 5 feet 7... I was wondering if any one know of any diet pill that can help you lose visible body fat and help you achieve a lean, muscler body... if so, please tell me, also, please tell me if it's safe for someone at my age to use it, with no side effects, over the counter and is not too expensive... I'm only 15... N i just lost my part time job... n my parents would totally not support me buying a diet drug that i've heard about on the internet... so please reply thx..

btw, has ne1 heard of this bio-stac drug, if so please tell me~

Are you doing any cardio to burn fat while you are using your abslide? If you aren't doing any cardio you should do some to get your body to burn fat which is what is probably covering your ab muscles.

I don't exactly have time to do cardio excerizes

I used to have an excercise routine that involves jumping rope, crutchs, leg lifts, squats, pushups.. etc.. an hour daily. I've done it for more then an month and I don't see results

And, I can't really spend that much time working out everyday any more..
because of school homework, dance class, I take hip hop, studying, tutor homework, school's dance team practise, football practise(I'm the qb), self defense class and I am starting on Yoga and kickboxing.
Mean while I still have to find time to do chores and hang out with my friends

And I m thinking of joining the debate team and trying out for the school newpaper

If you're taking all those dance classes, I'm sure you're getting a moderate cardio workout as it is. My advice to you would be to keep up with the dance classes and go out for the debate team too, b/c what's it worth to have a great body if once you attract someone you can't hold a conversation? hehe, good luck!!

Personally, I'm 42, 2 c-sections, been working out for 7 months now 6 hours a week, plus using the abslider once in a while. When I was using it I really did notice the difference. I didn't but the thing though. I belong to a club, and the treadmill and weightlifting is my thing. But I will tell you I just got sucked into the AB-doer machine, so far I like it for the love handles, but if you have a bad back you have to be really careful! Gotta go, I'll keep you posted on the results, as I am determined.Wendy

It sounds great and pretty convincing, but your abdominal training should be anywhere from 10-20 mintues 3 times a week. The abslide basically stretches your abdominals. It is great to use as a warm up, then go to regular set Ab routine and a healthy diet, but you wont achieve great chisseled abs, or even a wash board stomach with an AB slide. Working out your abdominals just builds the muscle, it doesn't burn the fat off. Try using a non-food intake suppliment such as Xenadrine, but talk to your doctor first because it does have Ma Huang in it (epherdine) and can have side effects ( less than 1% chance)
