Hello everyone! I've been on tri-nessa for about a month now and I have not yet got my period. I'm suppose to start on the last row of pills right? I started taking the pill the first sunday of my period. All I have been getting is light cramps, nothing else. I haven't missed a dose and have been taking it around the same time everyday. Also, how long do I have to stay on the pill for me and my fiance to start having unprotected sex?? Any answers greatly appreciated! Thanks! ;)

Women usually get their period a couple of days into the placebo pills (or into the break if there are no placebo pills). As for when it starts working, didn't you read the package insert? What does it say?

They usually say you're good to go after 7 days, but you should read what your packet says.

I was told by my doctor that if you take the first (active) pill on the first day of your period you're protected right away, although I waited a full cycle to be on the safe side, and generally we use condoms anyways.
