View Full Version : Cause of OA?

Hi. I posted earlier--"RA or what?" Well, my doctor told me it was OA. She did a sed rate test and checked my RF level, and they were normal.

So the question is, why on earth do I have OA? I'm 31, so it's not age. I'm a little overweight, but it's in my fingers, so that doesn't matter. I've never had any finger injuries. There's no family history of early OA.

Of course, I type a lot, but I'd think that carpal tunnel would be more likely in that case. The only other thing I can think of is hypermobility, but I'm not sure where I am with that. I mean, I don't know what normal joint ranges are, I guess.

So...any ideas?
