well, i noticed that i have some what mucous-like stuff in my stool. it's pretty obvious. what is that? noticed it the last time i had a BM. (been several days now unfortunatley) anybody here have it or seen it too before?

I get it a lot and it is suppose to be completely normal for ibs sufferers. I asked my doctor and she said it isn't a problem. I have had it for several years and it comes and goes. Sometimes I even pass mucus without stool. Hmmm...just another weird piece of the ibs puzzle!

I get that too. I just read in a pamphlet from my dr that everyone passes mucous but you its not noticable but because of IBS and the spasms, it backs up in your colon so sometimes that is all that comes out. It's gross but just another IBS problem!!
