hi, i was just diagnosed with fibro. a couple months ago. went through lots of blood tests. which was fun. i'm a hemotologist's nightmare.can't find the veins.the vein on my hand blew out after 12 vials of blood. well anyway it nice to find people to relate to what i'm going through. lots of people think you're faking it or just being a baby. it is very frustrating and hard to do my job when i'm having a bad day or a bad 2 weeks like i just had. i think this weather changing crap that is going on is the culprit. 1 day 69 next day45 .today, i felt a little better,so of course i overdid it at work,so i'll probably feel ****** tomorrow.sometimes i feel like asking the doctor for the cotisoidal shot or for stronger meds. i tried to take mobic, but it made me feel like i had an ulcer. i'm leary about antidepressants also. i don't know. well it will be nice to talk to everyone. lots of love.

hello there Pumpkinqueen. welcome to the fabulous fibro board:wave:
doesn't it feel good to finally get a dx. once we get dx we have to go through so much trial and error to see what will work for us as far as meds and daily activity. it seems that no 2 of us are exactly alike and sometimes have been through years of different meds to try and exercises to try before we see what works for us.
after i think 4 yrs i have finally found what works for me to at least keep me functioning. i have been through i think 4 different docs.
i have one now who is really compassionate and doesn't make me feel like i am faking or anything. some do not think that pain meds help but they help me.
i take Norco, Soma, Cymbalta, Requip and Rozerum for all my aches.
don't get me wrong, i still hurt but nothing like i do when not on meds.
we are here for you.
robin:)
