View Full Version : Low thread responses

Fear and anxiety make me hesitate to respond to threads on breast cancer, and I think the low responses here may be resulting from the same reason.

It's a serious disease, and women who visit this board often visit because they have it already.

Don't be afraid to respond. I was greatly comforted during my meeting with my cancer team by a volunteer who also had breast cancer, treatment, as well as reconstructive surgery. Her openness with me helped very much.

She spoke with me before my radiation treatment, preparing me for what to expect. My questions asked in the office of my surgeon also helped. But talking to someone who had been where I was going was a huge support. We need to throw out that shoulder for each other.

Hugs to all who visit this board,
