Hi! im a little scared because yesterday i went...you know...to the bathroom, and with a little exertion...appeared very bright lines of light in my left eye.
Then i stopped the exertion and the lights disappeared...
(This was the first time i see these bright lights in my eye with exertion)
I don't understand it, because for example if i do weightlifting (its an exertion exercise too) i don't see any lights...
And 2 months ago i went to the ophthalmologist and he said my eyes are ok.
Maybe something vascular?
Thanks a lot

Yes, it sounds like a blood pressure/vascular thing. There was a poster this week who saw flashing lights in one eye, then a grey spot. The doc told him he'd had a small hemorrhage that would clear up on its own. If you had no spot afterwards, there's probably nothing to worry about. Just keep tabs on the situation; if it happens repeatedly, see your ophth again.

Yeah, i also think is something vascular, because it happened after having a sexual relation. Then later, i went to the bathroom...and this is what happened.
I think the reason is increased blood pressure to the brain vessels (blood vessels dilated). This, or an aneurysm! But i hope its not an aneurysm!
Anyone who knows for sure?

Hi..i has my first experiance of this type just a few days ago.I had bright zig zag type lines in my vision..then bright flashing lights at the corner vision kind of like a camera flash on and off for about five minutes and i had a headache about an hour after..the next night i have a very bad migraine.I was premenstrual and feeling a bit sick that night.I was very scared so i made an appointment right away with the eye doctor. All my test came back normal and i was diagnosed with visual migraine..the symptoms i had were typical of this problem and also common. Some see halo's or go blind in one eye for a short time.It is a spasm in the back of the eyes near the brain.sometimes there is no headache..or just a mild one about an hour after..or it can be right before a migraine..both are common. You should see the eye doctor anyways for your own peace of mind.I hope this has help a little..
wishing you all the best of luck with this
sincerely
