For the last few days i have been getting chest pains, not terribly bad, but enough to wonder whats causing it. I have been taking vitamins for awhile now, and on the last two or three weeks i increased the dosage i was taking of biotin. I was wondering if anayone has had some side-affects from it? I am not taking any other medication, so could it be biotin?

I have been taking biotin for months with no side effects. I've read thatthere are no side effects from biotin and that it is non-toxic.

Tell us what the doctor said.
I'v never heard of side effects from Biotin.
Then again, maybe your body just doesn't react well to it.

Yes, your chest pains may very well be caused by the Biotin. Biotin is generally very safe and very little side effects or toxicity have bene reported. A little known side effect of Biotin toxicity is chest pains. Biotin can also cause a flushing effect, however there are now Biotin supplements available that report to curb that side effect.

What dosage of Biotin are you taking? 30mcg is the recommended daily intake.
