I started the menopause about 8 years ago, within a couple of years I had developed high blood pressure, thyroid problems, hiatis hernia and depression, do you think these are linked to the menopause or is it just coincidental

hi,
if you read through other threads here you will find that thyroid problems seem to come on about this time in life. also some women get depressed or anxious at this time. it is all individual. hope you feel better.

ditto - I am 47 and have experienced depression, anxiety, blood pressure spikes, night sweats, headaches, etc. - only in the last 2 years. doctor has tested for many, many others things and found no roblems. No thyroid issues yet, but we do keep an eye on it since hyper- and hypo-thyroid are both in my family (sisters)
Keep the faith.
