Hello my friends hello , Just spoke to my nurse , she ask me If I had a family Dr. I said nope . Since my pain management dude isn't a real doctor he can't fill out my prescriptions . I said well I need them refilled before I run out, and I don't want to run out! So she's calling my surgeon who's office is 2 1/2 hours from me to fill my script. The bad thing is my truck is broken and I can't drive to get them. Good ole workers comp took $120.00 a month from me because I was being over paid for 3 years now ? That hurts , it's hard to make the Bills now. Anyway I'm waiting on her call. I should get a family Dr. but can't afford to pay one right now.
Thanks for listening to another problem of mine .
As for you who know Paul Harvey ( Page two ) :)

Shawley.....my 2 cents as blunt as it is............it's time to find a new pain management doctors practice. This one is just not meeting your needs.

Thanks for your input. :) Shawley.....my 2 cents as blunt as it is............it's time to find a new pain management doctors practice. This one is just not meeting your needs.

Maybe your surgeon would be willing to slip the perscriptions in an envelope and mail them to you.

Shawley, it sounds like you are in a real mess. I don't mean to get too personal but have you tried Social Security? I had to do that a couple of years ago. It was no picnic but pinching penney's so hard that Abe screams is no fun either.

Hi Art ,the thought of SS would be nice But I'm on workers comp and I don't think I could get any $ from the Gov. because of comp.

Hi Shawley,
Arthr Itis has a good point, if your on WC for 3 yrs now you could have been approved for SSD by now or at least close to it. The fact that your on WC is a big plus for your SSD case also. I would think they wouldn't deny you at all since WC isn't that easy to get either. My cousin is in PA and fell from a second story ladder and landed on his feet on the pavement, he got WC and was approved right away when he applied for SDD. It's much easier in PA than it is in Ohio so you have that on your side also.
It is a BIG step emotionally to accept that label Disabled, but Shawley you will get medicare coverage and probably more cash than your getting now.It might be something to ponder. I can't remember how old you are but if you over 50 you usually get approved easier too.
I'm sorry if I stuck my nose where it doesn't belong, just trying to be helpful.
God Bless

Carol I'm only a young pup :D 41:rolleyes: Anyway if I was to be approved for SSD I would lose my w/c right ? If comp would offer me what I'm asking them I would apply.
I need more info on this :) Thanks

Shawley,
I know my cousin didn't get his settlement from WC when he applied for SSD but he did not get both benefits. I would call a lawyer and perhaps get a consult, you might be cheating yourself out of better benefits.

Carol I have an attorney for workers comp, plus my wife has insurance on me and the kids , thank the LORD.
See I want my ex-employer to fork up the damage they did to my life , not just the injury ,the get lost we don't want you after 12 long years with them , I felt as if we were family and it hurt to be cast aside,.
Thanks for your thoughts Carol :) Shawley,

I can't blame you for wanting them to pay for that treatment one bit, I forgot about that part of your story. I'm sorry I didn't mean to minimize that, I hope you take them to the cleaners!!!! most employers are like that these days it's not like it was yrs ago where loyalty was appreciated. I rememeber they offered you crazy low amount didn't they?

Hi again Carol , actually it was my attorney who wanted me to take a small amount but I said NO WAY ! But we are waiting on a pretty fair amount , if they say no ? No Biggy they can pay me for life !
My back is worth more than I even ask for . You know I never ask for money ,just my old job back and they said nope your fired ! Ok Trump !
Maybe it's for the best I don't settle..My surgeon said wait 2 years atleast. I don't know why he said that ???
