I am taking Lo-Ovral mainly for Endometriosis and lately I have no patients and everything gets on my nerves, EVERYTHING. I am usually not like this, it's like the worst PMS ever, ALL THE TIME. Anyone else? Would another BC pill be better, maybe? HELP :mad:

I experienced the same thing on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. My emotions were so out of wack - I felt crazy. It was like I was a different person. Constant PMS is a good way to describe it.

I just quit the pill last week after being on it for a little over 5 years. I'm hoping my emotions will soon return to normal. I'm also hoping to see my sex drive return - the pill pretty much killed it :(

i was on many different kinds of bc... my last being orthro tri cyclen lo after having my son... i was ready to kill myself, it was that bad. I couldn't take it anymore. a week after stopping it i felt much less stressed.

I had many bad side effects on Ovcon 35. Besides annoying things like water retention, I had no sex drive and became super moody and anxious and woke up daily on the verge of tears and constantly picked fights with my husband over really trivial things. Once I stopped the pill, my mood improved tremendously. I feel like myself again :)

I dont have side effects from the Microgestin fe 1/20 that I take until the week before my period. Then I get so cranky and moody that I feel like a different person. The mood swings are really outrageous and it makes me feel super bad for my boyfriend having to deal with me :( I HATE it!!!

My irritability factory increases greatly the week before my period! I really don't understand, since the pill I am on is a mono phasic pill. I have been taking it since June and it seems to be getting worse. My periods are still 7 days long, so I don't think it's helping anyway. I think I'll quit taking it and see what happens.

Wow - I'm so glad to hear that it's not just me!! I've been on ortho-tricyclen for almost 10 yrs. and like clockwork, the week and a half before my period is due to start, I get mega impatient, moody, teary, and pick fights with my boyfriend over the silliest things. The crazy thing is, I've been doing this for YEARS every single month and yet every time I get like this, I wonder why...then I remember it's PMS. I never really attributed it to being on the pill though...that's a huge wake-up call for me...I thought I was just one of those crabby PMS-ers. Is there a pill out there that doesn't cause the moodiness?
