I'm new here so bare with me!!!

I'm 23 years old and have IBS. I'm getting married in May and since stress makes my IBS worse, the next few months are probably going to be hell! But, I'm trying to lose about 10 lbs. (well, not so much into the weight loss as just toning up a bit) before the wedding. The problem I'm having is that my dr. told me to stay away from raw foods (uncooked fruits and veggies) b/c they can make my stomach worse (and they do). So, I'm having trouble finding healthy snacks (right now I'm eating raw fruits for snacks due to my lack of alternatives and regretting it). I take a daily fiber pill (even though fiber can make me worse as well) and eat pretty healthy as far as meals go. I'm just not sure what to do about the snacks!!!

Any suggestions????

Hi,
I am also trying to loose 10 lbs:dizzy: I have been on the glycymic index diet for a week now and have lost 2 lbs (average weight lose on this diet is 2lbs a week) so you should be able to loose 10 lbs in 5 weeks maybe 4. It does consist of alot of salads and fruit. But I seem to be able to tolerate everything since I started a new med called Buscapan I am week 3 and have never felt better, no attacks and am very regular. There are no side effects that I experience.
Anyway I joined online at ediets.com $17.00 \mth they prepare your meal plan for aweek comes with recipes and shopping lists. Its very hard to loose weight when you have IBS, I have tried lots of things, and have finally found something that works for me.
Good Luck:wave:
