Hi laurafaith-
Well my son, who is five, had been experiencing this problem. We just went to the dentist yesterday and she said his eye teeth were wore down alot from grinding his teeth at night. She said not much could be done since he doesn't have his adult teeth yet (like a night guard). But she put a special sealant on the tooth and she said to avoid really hot or cold drinks for a few days. Well hope this helps some. Good luck.

The first set of permenant molars usually comes in around age six. They are often called "six year molars" for that reason.;) My daughters came in when she was five. So it could be that, but it could also be a cavitity, so I would still take him to the dentist.
