Does anyone know what causes the throbbing/fluttering inside the ear? I get this really fast fluttering inside one ear at times and it drives me nuts!

It could be ear wax that is down in your ear. I don't know if your've tried it, but i use a little bit of peroxide in each ear every once in a while when mine does that. Hope this helps.

It could be an ear infection or fluid in your ear from allergies.

Fluid in the ear from allergies? How is that cause I only have it in the one ear. What can I do for that?

Do you use a Q-tip to do that? and does it stop right away?

You can get fluid in one ear and not the other, or an infection in one ear and not the other.

If it's from allergies, you need to get your allergies under control.

Jade001,

I get this sometimes. It's from a loose bit of wax or a tiny hair or something that is causing the sensitive little hairs in your ear to go crazy. Try letting some warm water into your ear when you shower, and then use a q-tip to try to gently clean the ear. Once I've gotten the little bit of wax out, the sensation goes away. Until the next time.

You might just be getting a cold which has targeted your ear...is it sort of like when your eye twitches? How long has this been going on?

I get it off and on from time to time. no set time of day. Happens at night mostly...I think.
