I started taking Lipitor 4 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago I started having bad abdominal cramps and pains. And Gas. Lots of it. You can sit next to me on the couch and here it bubbling in my abdomin. Has anyone ever had this happen with Lipitor before?

That's not a normal complaint from Lipitor. I've taken it 8 years with no gastric effects.

That is a normal complaint for cholesterol lowering medications. Read the labels.

Kelly, some folks like myself do have those side effects. After the second month on 10 mgs. of Lipitor, I had very bad GI problems, and yes, tons of gas as well as severe diarrhea. Dr. had to take me off of it, as he had me go to a GI dr. who found nothing wrong. After getting off of it things went back to normal, till they tried me on a couple of other statins, and developed the same effects, plus muscle aches and pains, especially on Baycol.

Try going off for a few days to a week and see if the problem goes away, that is what they did with me. If it is the Lipitor things should get better, if not, you may have something else going on, there is alot of stomach flu going around now as well.
