Anyone in that "cup of coffee a day" routine as I often am? For serious lifters, it should be known that coffee contains negative ions which counter muscle growth. But don't despair if you still need that morning kick! Dairy products contain positive ions that can neutralize the negative ions in coffee. So a glass or two of skim milk a day will still allow your desired growth! And a little bit of caffeine is even good for that extra energy boost right before going to the gym. Just don't forget the calcium!
I'm not certain on the amount of coffee that is needed before adversely affecting a workout, or how much milk is needed to offset one cup of coffee, but things are best in moderation. Any other thoughts on this?
