I hope someone can help -

for the past year and a half i have been suffering from the following -

1facial sensations (constant)
2muscle movement - only slight (for example, the side of my mouth/eyebrow moves a bit on its own - not constant
3 variying degrees of redness, sometimes none, mostly slight predominantly one side only)
4 i get recurrent spots only on one side of face - and only at most 3 at time, generally i keep getting one to the left of my nostril
5 muscle spasms on other parts of my body Arms, Legs, Shoulder etc - (mild, but noticeable)

I have had a MRI scan - this came back as normal except - for Signs of Chronic Sinusitus, and full bloods done all normal.

Any ideas.

Please please - you guys may know more than my GP. Well here's fingers crossed for me

Regards

i would highly reccomend seeing a dermatologist at this point.if your MRI(great idea by the way)showed only sinus problems this, considering all of your ongoing symptoms, would be the next step for you.did they actually take a look at your c spine during this MRI or was it strictly brain/head only?

since you DO have sinus issues along with everything else, pressure on cranial nerves from that alone would possibly explain the facial wierd stuff you are having, but you really DO need to find out just what is causeing that rash type stuff, this would be where a good derm would be of the best help right now.at least have this evaluated by one and see what they have to say.this would be what i would do at this point anyways.

good luck and let me know what you find out,K? FB

the mri was strictly head only -

i play footie 3 times a week so would nt think it was spinal

the trouble is - dermatologists cost so much money in UK

I am a "think the worst" kind of person, so just know that up front when I say - has anyone checked you for Lupus? Read the following:

What are the symptoms of cutaneous lupus?
The symptoms of cutaneous lupus may include a variety of different looking skin rashes, photosensitivity (where exposure to ultra-violet light triggers a rash), and sometimes ulcers on the inside of the nose or mouth.

What do the rashes look like?
There are a variety of ways that cutaneous lupus rashes can appear. The distinctive rash is called the "butterfly rash," which is a rash that extends across the cheeks of the face and the bridge of the nose. It can be flat or raised; it can be bright red or it can be just a mild blushing, light pink coloration to the skin. It appears on the face in a pattern that looks like a butterfly; the wings are beneath both eyes and the body of the butterfly covers the bridge of the nose.

 the rash is only one side of dface - so i am pretty sure its not lupus - how do you test for lupus anyhow>

If it is not lupus - what else can it be
