I had spinal fusion in Sept. 2006. I was feeling pretty good until about a month ago. I had been doing physical therapy since November. The end of December there were insurance issues so I went a month without therapy. Each week feeling worse. I saw the doctor. She doubled my Neurontin to 1800mg per day. She gave me Skelaxin which is a muscle pain med. Plus she gave me Darvocet which did not help. So I started theapy this week. Now I am taking Percocet because I just can't take the pain anymore. My fingers are killing me. I can't straighten or make a fist without alot of pain. My neck, back and elbow are killing me more then usual. I have herniated discs in my neck and a tear in the tendon of the elbow. I don't know if anyone has had this sympton? I feel like there is a radiated slight burning buzzing feeling throughout my whole body. Even my lips feel like they are numb a little. Kind of how it feels when novacane wears off. I also have Narcolepsy and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. I am going for a brain MRI and Bone Density test tomorrow. The Neurologist is doing the brain MRI to make sure nothing else causing my Narcolepsy symptons. I take Dextroamphetamine for the Narcolepsy. I just switched to him so he is starting from the beginning. The bone density is because the ortho looked at my post op fusion x-rays and doesn't like the way the bones look. Fusion has not started yet either which is odd. Plus I feel like I am retaining water. I mentioned to the neurosurgeon and ortho and none seem to care. All I know is I am getting worse. I recently had blood work done for Lyme Disease and Rhem. Arthritis. All negative. Any suggestions? I'm new to this board but a frequent poster on the back board. Thanks.
