Has anyone heard of this or tried it?

It is an OTC formulation that works by lowering cholesterol using plant sterols and stanols.
Products like these (including Benecol margerine, and "Heart Healthy" orange juice lower cholesterol by interfering with its absorption from food.
They DO work, but not dramatically.

I don't know how LipidShield compares pricewise with its competitors but your goal is to get 2 grams of sterols and stanols per day.

There is also niacin and red yeast rice in the product, both beneficial but the manufacturer's seem to shy away from giving QUANTITIES of these components...
BUT since each bottle of 60 is about $25 and contains 560 mg. TOTAL weight...I'll assume 4 a day and thus $25/15 days or $50 a month. My first impression is TOO EXPENSIVE: I think you can get the ingredients far cheaper.

Also these mixed melanges make it hard to regulate your intake of any particular component.

Thanks Lenin,

I've been using flush niacin and it works very well. I was just curious about the LS product, but you're right - far too expensive!
