Hi everyone!
Fristly, when I lie on either of my ears in bed I hear a thumping noise, sort of like footsteps. A few months ago I would have spells of fast ear clicking for a few hours in different sequences. This has not reoccured. Starting 4 days ago when I breathe through my mouth it often feels like I am not breathing at all, although I do get air. Through my noise feels normal. I actually had a full blown panic attack when this occured and ended up in the ER.
However, days later I still feel really empty onbreathing through my mouth. Also, when I swallow my ears make a slight noise that is hard to describe. Yet I experience no fullness in my ears nor any pain.
The clinic I went to today said, after looking in my ears, that everything is fine and did not tell me anything. He said not to panic and to take xanax if i do!

Thank You for any responses,

thumping and clicking are spasms of the middle ear or eustacian tube muscles.
sometimes the palate.
