I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia several months ago and although I am getting a lot of help with some of my symptoms, one of my primary symptoms is vision problems, and my docs are having a hard time helping me in that area. In addition to the standard dry eyes and inflamed under-the-eyelids, I have a constant feeling that I am not able to focus my eyes, my vision seems to tunnel/ fade in and out, so that my peripheral vision gets very dark and whatever I'm trying to look at seems very far away. When I try to read, type, etc. words seem to jump out at me, it's like I see everything in my visual field at once. It's sort of like a constant feeling of visual dizziness, like my eyes are trying to cross or something.
Does anyone else have vision problems like this, and if so, have you found any treatment? I know that there are supposed to be eye exercises that help, by my docs and I can't find any eye doctors who know what we're talking about. My rheumatologist believes they are related to fibromyalgia, (I have seen billions of doctors so there's almost definitely nothing else going on, eye-wise), but she says it's not commonly one of the most severe symptoms in fibromyalgia, like it is for me.
Please help if you have any advice!

YES.
Ive wondered for so long if I was the only one...I haven't been to an eye doctor in a while, but I'm seeing one soon, and I HAVE been having trouble like that.
I thought maybe it was my glasses but I'm not so sure. I get into these dizzy spells where I get so confused, and I can't understand anything--though thats just the fog--but even if I'm not tired in the least, I have them.
I always have to FORCE my eyes to uncross--it gets aggravating when I'm supposed to read something or focus. Unfortunately, I don't know what it is--post back if you get it figured out? Maybe it is really just one of those freaky fm symptoms.
