I have been taking 2400 mg Motrin/day for 5 days and since it greatly reduced some intense symptoms my neuro ordered some blood work (done today) including an ESR (SED rate) test. From what I'm reading, the Motrin I'm taking may invalidate the result??? Do docs usually have you come off of NSAIDs before doing this test? Thanks, Suzy-Q

American Family Physicians says there is no effect of NSAID use on ESR!
