I have not been diagnosed with anything, just for some background.

However, for the past couple of years I have noticed that any time I eat something high in sugar I feel very sick. My stomach hurts, my head begins to hurt, I get very lethargic. Does this sounds like anything associated with hypoglycemia or anything else?

I also noticed some mention of callused feet...mine are horrible. No matter what I do, it won't go away.

Just some more background. I was an extremely overweight child. When I was in the 6th grade I went from about 170 lbs down to 140. I have actually fluctuated between 135 and 155 since then. Right now I am about 140 pretty constantly for the past 2 years. ( I am abotu 5'8'').

There is a history of immune diseases in my family (sister w/ lupus, cousin w/ ms, cousin w/ diabetes, etc.)

I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks :)

It doesn't sound familiar to me.

Eating something high in sugar, will, of course, make your blood sugar level go up.

You didn't mention - how long after you eat it do your symptoms appear?

If it is "reactive" hypoglycemia, in which the heavy sugar load causes your pancreas to secrete too much insulin, the reactions will come two to four hours after eating.

Those symptoms usually inlcude a general feeling of being ill, nervousness, feeling of "hunger", irritability, sometimes blurred vision. The only one I can relate to is the headache. When my blood sugar is low, I get a headache right between my eyes.

If it is hyperglycemia itself, the symptoms include nausea, sometimes vomiting, excessive thirst, and excessive urination. This will come right away, probably within a half-hour of eating the food.
