Hey everyone...I was searching google for an answer to this question...and found this group. Heres the question...

I have been working out for about and 1-1 1/2 hrs about 4-5 times a week at my gym...doing 45 min of cardio on the crossramp...and then using various weight/toning machines.

My biggest problem is my lower abs cause I used to heavier as a teenager and lost 60 lbs in 10th grade. So ever since then I have had this lower ab problem and I can stand it...Its not going away with any cardio/diet (I eat very healthy and watch my fat/calorie/sodium intake)

I was wondering if you had any advice on this issue.
(This might sound dumb but I was also wondering if when you start working out and losing the fat does it slowly move down your body. Because it seems like my lower ab region is more bloated. lol) Thanks

Some people hold their weight more then others in certain areas. Since you lost alot of weight the skin may have collected and sagged downwards. Each person seems to have a "problem" area this might be yours so it might be a little tougher to get to where u want to be

Your waist may be quite small thus making your lower abs look a little bigger then they should. Sounds like you are on track with your cardio and workouts. Keep your heart rate at 60-75% maximum heart rate, closer to 75% if u really want to trim down although u may lose muscle.

Cardio first thing in the morning is quite popular give this a try if yu arent doing it already. Your diet is probably good but the only way to perfect it so to speak is to literally weigh everything so you know the exact calories/protein/fat of each meal. Make adjustments based on your results / intake.

Ive heard that the abs are the hardest to lose. Ive also heard that people who carry excess in the belly will not lose it no matter how hard they try. I have the same problem. Ive considered a tummy tuck for as long as I can remember.
