I might have asked this before but I don't think I got many answers. lol Sorry for the repeat but does anyone have trouble with a large amount of female discharge and messed up periods with fibro? Seems since mine started several months ago, mine's been all messed up with a much larger discharge amount. My gyn has treated me for BV and yeast infections and sometimes it's better but still there. I go back to her next month. I just wondered is this something I'll have to live with now?

Hi L.,
I wouldn't say it is typical. I'd encourage you to get any infections fully treated, as lingering infections can sometimes contribute to fibro & its cousing, chronic fatigue syndrome.
Sometimes hormone balance is slightly off in fibro. It can contribute to the pain & mixed up cycles. That is something few MDs will address, unless the problems are extremely severe, but you can talk it over w/your doc.
Best wishes.

Thanks, yes, I am definitely getting her to check it out again at my appointment next month. I read this really great article about how many females have discharge and hormonal problems with fibro (I think they contributed the discharge to either candida overgrowth or sometimes the muscles in that region). It was an interesting read and I'm taking it in to show her, also.
