acid reflux/LPR symptoms after steroids?

Just wondering if anyone else suspects steroid use to trigger symptoms. I recently had eye surgery and was put on Prednisone drops and vigamox antibiotic drops. I got off the antibiotic drops but still have to take the pred for several weeks.

My Dr. says the drops are not absorbed systemically but I do not buy it because I feel certain side effects.

Has anyone else had a similar problem? Thanks in advance for any replies.

I can relate to reflux sypmtoms after prednisone. I have been on prednisone for asthma alot over the last 11 years especially the last 5 years. The last 5 weeks I have had severe reflux symptoms where I have had alot of stomach pain, gas, trouble and pain swallowing and I have lost 15 pounds. My doctor things some of the problem is from the prednisone and is also sending me to a specialist because he thinks I need a endoscopy to rule out any other problems. Prednisone is a great drug but unfortunately has so many side effects.
