I've been watching my diet and exercising routinely over the last several months, in an attempt to get my Cholesterol under 200.
I'm scheduled for the "Fasting" blood test in six days, and "fell off the wagon" last night, eating Ice Cream & Chocolate. I'm back on track today however, as the test is in five more days.
I'm curious to know if anyone knows how long the "High Cholesterol Foods", stay in the bloodstream, and if my numbers will be up due to the "bad" things I ate six days prior to the blood test?

Scimitar,
"Fasting blood test" means no food for 14 hours and no alcohol for 24. Avoiding highly sugared is also a good idea for 24 hours.
You might be taking it to an extreme. :D
The blood cholesterol numbers of a person who has eaten radically different for a whole week before the test might be meaningless when the person reverts to "normal" food.

Thanks. I'll assume that the "one time slip", a few days before the test, will have no bearing?
