Every morning when I wake up my hips are sore and stiff, but once i get going throughout the day I am fine. If I am in a car for too long the same thing happens. I do however sometimes experience mild pain in my groin. Can you please help???

It could be the beginning of it. Mine started out that way.

Me, too. I also developed "bursitis" in my hips and sacroilliac joint pain. Walking up stairs and rising from a sitting position are the most painful for me.

The answer is yes.
cmatthews1326 I suggest u to go and ask for a blood test for the gene HLA-B27. This gene test whether you have ankylosing spondylitis. Hopefully you don't - it's another form of arthritis.
i started with groin pain too and would feel better later in the day. Sometimes, I have to stop and "straighten" up my leg so that I can walk normally without limping.
My advice to you is:
1) avoid carrying heavy objects like gardening pots etc
2) ask your doc to see whether u are eligible to take glucosamine to prevent osteoarthritis from settling in.
3) go swimming to keep your joints mobile....and I mean MOBILE otherwise they will fuse ... but don't over use your joints. By that I don't mean sitting like a couch potatoe - what i mean is don't put too much weight on your hips.
I heard that our hips don't have blood vessel to carry nutrients to them...so therefore, when damages are done it's irreversible.
