I've been eating yogurt (Activia) and/or Kefir for the last week or so and it seems like it gives me horrible symptoms. Has anybody else had this problem??

Hi!

I can't eat yogurt because it gives me more acid reflux. I asked the Dr. about it & he said it's acidy for some people. I thought maybe I am allergist to it.

What kind of horrible problems do you have?

sometimes i can eat yogurt and sometimes i can't. I think it has to do with what i eat before it. this heartburn stuff is such a mystery because sometimes a food will bother me and sometimes it won't. its all such a puzzle.

Wow...a couple things. First, snowflake, I didn't really think much about it until you mentioned it, but there are days when I eat the "off limits" foods and feel fine. Normally, I really adhere to the "GERD diet restrictions" and even the ok stuff bothers me...
Woodruff, when I say trouble, it's hard to describe...I get a weird sensation under my tongue which makes me salivate really bad (similar to when I have acid in my throat). It makes my jaw hurt, too.
Another thing, though, is that I also stopped using my ACV on Saturday to see if it was really making a difference. I was so-so on Sunday and miserable yesterday. As soon as I got home, I took a swig of the ACV and within 20 minutes, I was better.
So I'm also wondering if I was beginning to have trouble with the "ok" foods since I had stopped the ACV. :dizzy:

Does the yogurt have refined sugar in it?

Sugar and acid equals fermentation...meaning more gas!

I just looked...Activa does have refined sugar in it....so its a no no!

There are enzymes you can buy at GNC that do the same thing..( minus the sugar)
