hi. My 1 yr. old nephew has been in the hospital for 3 days now. they have run so many tests and can't figure out whats wrong with him. they think maybe an autoimmune disease. The symptoms are very vague, i know but i thought I would give it a shot

he's had a temperature of 104 for at least 2 days, rash, vomitting and is sleeping a lot. they said it was not a flu and ruled out some other things....

anyone have suggestions?

How long has he actually been sick? Has it just been the two days with fever? That seems awfully quick to be talking about autoimmune disorders. Sounds to me like he has an awful bug, probably a virus. The blood work would show some sort of infection though, so not sure about that. I'm sorry that he's not doing well. There's nothing worse that a child that young getting so sick. Good luck.
