I cant take this anymore, ever since my reflux started, its like I have a non stop sinus infection. I took a round of antibiotics the other day and it pretty much did nothing. My throat is red, its been red for I would say a little over 2 months, my nose is always stopped up and runny, shortness of breath, sneezing, gobs and gobs of mucus in my throat, trouble swallowing, sinus pressure and headaches, pain in jaws, ears, head, nausea. Is anyone else in the same boat? Does anyone have any advice?? I take sinus pills sometimes and they help a little but what can I do about my throat?? Its always messed up. Im going to start taking an allergy pill like clariten. I dont know what to do.

Kellir,
2 doses a day of Nexium is the best thing for my LPR, but to relieve newer symptoms which include shortness of breath, I have found flonase to be very helpful. I take a squirt in the morning in each nostril and a squirt in in each nostril at night. I suspect that LPR is partially an inflammatory disease, and inflammation was playing a big part in the shortness of breath.

You may be having a allergic reaction to gluten...gluten is found in bread, cereal, anything made with wheat, rye, oat flour etc.
It is even in stuff you wouldn't even think had it in it!
Read Octobers7 post...he has good insight
I had all your symptoms...but got on a gluten free diet ( also no sugar in any form!)
My symptoms are all but gone...

Yes I have this too...its so terrible and frustrating. I do notice certain trigger foods make it worse, such as dairy and chocolate, other then that I am yet to find relief.

I'm sorry, but what is LPR? I have had these same symptoms with the acid reflux, but was wondering about LPR. Thank you.

I also had the stuffy nose symptoms. My doctor prescribed Flonase and it works well.

kathy, LPR is laryngopharyngeal reflux. Its when the acid comes all the way up into your throat, mouth.

Yes, I can understand I have the exact same symptoms, yet I have Gerd as well as a Hiatal Hernia so I am a wreck..
