I'm scheduled for an upper GI Feb,22 and a colonoscopy Mar 7, the earliest I could get.

For about the last 3 weeks I've been haveing
some upper stomach issues. Nothing real painful but rather more annoying
than anything. My bowel movements are very regular each morning and
seem to be ok. No blood (that I can see) and decent size and shape, I
think you know what I mean. The thing is, is that I have been passing
very little gas the last 3 or 4 day's. A little just before my bowel movement
and a little during the day. A few day's ago I changed my diet to a higher
fiber content, and ate a bowl of bean soup today and had very little luck
in firing things up. Anybody have an opinion? I'm grateful I have the bowel
movement each morning but the gas thing is perplexing. Any opinions
would be appreciated. Thank You and God bless.

I really do not have an answer to this but see no-one else has replied. I would have thought that, as long as you are having good bowel movements, that it is not a problem if you do not pass much gas. Many of us would like to pass less! However, I am sure you will mention this to the doctor when you have your procedures.

Love and prayers,

Are you bloated? REALLY bloated up? Are you burping? Sometimes if you have a partial blockage the gas has trouble getting by - or it comes up instead of down...As long as you are not REALLy bloated up I would not worry about it - that means that the gas is coming out somewhere, somehow.

Good luck!
