View Full Version : Ear pain, one-sided white PND

For over a year now, I've had this burning pain between my left ear and nose and this gloopy white post nasal drip. It feels like it's coming from my ear but my GP said this is impossible. It feels like an infection, but antibiotics haven't helped. Also, when I move my jaw around, it seems to generate more mucous flow. I've read that allergies cause white mucous, but my problem is one-sided. Wouldn't it cause PND on both sides? A CT scan revealed thickened turbinates and a deviated septum, but I've had that for years. Anybody else been treated for this? I think it's fungal, but my doctor said no way it's fungal. He said that fungal infections occur in severely immunocompromised people. Could a viral infection last over a year?
