My nine year old son cries all the time over the littlest thing. The kids at school and in our survey won't play with him because of it and they make fun of him. What do I do?

have u tried anything so far? what do you do when he cries over little things to you?

my child grew out of it when i started ignoring him he is a very emotional child anyway but it just got too much and just got really embarrassing when we started ignoring him and not comforting him.

Shmolissa, I think he needs support but not babying. Can he verbalize what is making him upset. I would talk to him about it and empower him by going over with him what he could do about the situations. He needs to see himself as being able to overcome these situations. If he is crying he must feel helpless.
