How do all of you get to skip your periods??? I would love that if it happened to me. I have had my tubes tied and so the pregnancy question isn't an issue but I started taking Loetrin 24 to shorten my periods. I have started my fourth month of it and am waiting to see if I still have the breakthrough bleeding. I am expecting my husband home next month and wish that my period would disappear. What dose is the most popular amongst those of you who get to skip? Also, with a higher dosage, is there a weight gain issue? I have worked to hard to lose weight that I won't let a little pill put it all back on!!! Please help!:dizzy:

Im confused when you say "get to skip"...

For some reason, some women using loestrin naturally stop getting their period. This pill is known to shorten periods and I guess sometimes some women's period gets so light and so short, you essentially lose it. Maybe other factors involved that cause this to happen with some women.

On the other hand, other women "play with their pill" to ensure that they don't get it when they don't want it. Some skip inactive pills and continue with active so they skip it, but im sure docs don't encourage this.

Personally, my cycle isn't something I wanna mess around with any more than I am in taking the pill. It's also something you probably don't want to do especially in the first 3 mos while your body is getting acclimated to the pill.
