Ok guys so I need help. I am very frustrated because I hit a plateau. I am 5’ and 120 pounds. I loose and gain between 117 but I want to be down to 110. I have 5 months to loose this but I just can’t seem to do it. My workout schedule is as follows:
Monday: Light workout (walking or something)
Tuesday: Weights (chest, back, and arms)
Wednesday: X trainer 45 min
Thursday: Run 20 min
Bike 15 min
Stair master 15 min
Friday: Weights (butt, legs, abs)
I don’t eat very much, probably about 1000 cal or less a day. I am very confused to as why the weight isn’t coming off. I have heard that maybe I am not eating enough… how much should I eat? I tried weight watchers for two months and still no change. Also, I have heard that you should do one workout (such as running) everyday and then change it each month. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it tons!!! I am even thinking about diet pills if anyone can recommend something. Thanks!

Dude,
5 months is plenty of time to lose 10 pounds.
Ok this is what i think might help:
Weight training. Take this part easy and do not increase the weights you use. If you want to concentrate on losing some pounds/fat burning you should only try and maintain your strength.
In terms of cardio work i recommend slow jog or marching. Make sure to keep it at a comfortable pace, you are not trying to increase fitness. Taking it slow helps the body into burning mostly body fat for energy. If you go too hard your body will burn glycogen first.
You should do this for about 45-60mins 5 times a week. This shouldnt be hard as this is slow aerobic exercise.
In terms of diet i would cut out all carbs from your diet.ie sugar, grains, cereals, pasta, etc Stick to eating fruits & vegetables for carbs. Also eat light and remember to stick to lean meats. Keep fluids up and stick to fresh fruit juice and water, forget all those energy drinks, soft drinks, coffee, etc.
Remember to visualise your goal and see yourself already weighing 110pounds and believe it. Visualisation helps trust me. Maybe some mediation too.
Anyway the above plan should get you down to your desired weight within 5 months, im thinking you can do it in a month though.
Hope this helps,
YMS

I would agree with YMS as far as you do need to increase your cardio. I would, however, avoid going too low on your carbohydrate intake. I'm sure YMS is not suggesting this, but just so you do not misinterpret what he is getting at... Fruits and Veggies are great carbs to include in your diet as they are low calorie and nutrient-dense, but grains can be included as well in the form of low-glycemic whole wheat pastas and breads. I guess what you should be concerned with is the loss of lean tissue in response to severyl restricting carbohydrate intake. We want to preserve muscle while losing bodyfat.
Also, have you ever done interval training? Interval training, as in longer periods of lower intensities, followed by short bursts of high intensity. This is a good way to increase caloric expenditure without having to significantly increase the overall intensity of the exercise. As an added benefit, you will improve your aerobic capacity as this is considered "strength training" for the heart.
