Hi all
I am new here & am currently very anxious as to a situation regarding my mother.
She has developed on her front left hand side of the head, just behind or around the temple region, a small sweling that is hard, rather like the bone has raised a little.
I'ts not a lump or growth, just a raising in the bone area that is realy un- noticeable unless you feel & compare both sides. She hasn't any other symptoms at all.
I'm anxious about this.
The doc she saw has examined her & she now awaits an appointment at the local big hospital in my city in the "dermatology" department.
This i found strange as dermotology i thought was about skin probs like eczema & sceriosis etc!
Should she get a 2nd oppinion?? I hear so much abpout mal practice & wrong diagnosis & 'if only's'
all the waiting may make the issue worse.
I do suffer from anxiety & maybe i'm being paranoid, but my friends mother died of a brain tumour a fiew years ago & it reminds me!
Any advice would be appreciated.
