My daughter had that nasty stomach bug and for two days has been vomitting and has had that watery diarrhea. We are on day three and everything has seemed to cease. Now I have noticed the inside of her belly button is red and itches. Can it be something serious?

Try calling the doctor. I'm 13 and never expirenced anything like this when I'm sick, so, my only advice is to call a doctor. It doesn't sound like anything serious. Don't panick. ;)

I took her to the dr and she said that she had been putting so much strain when she was vomitting that it caused her to have a hernia in her belly button. It has gotten smaller but it did not go away. SO now we have to see a pediatric surgeon to see about having it removed.
