Okay I have started on my diet again. (south beach). My stomach seems to always growl, like I am hungry. I am trying to stick to my regular snacks so I try to ignore them, but then I can't concentrate on my work and I end up going to the snack machine. any suggestions on what to eat, or maybe try something different for breakfast. I eat cereal and a banana. My cereal is usually Special k or Raison bran. my 1st snack is a lowfat cheese stick and then that is when my growling stomach starts. Please help me:dizzy:

try changing up your cereal brand, like cherrios/wheaties use low fat skim milk and don't use a bannana in your cereal ''because of the sugar'' if you eat the babanna only eat like half or a 1/4. eat it slowly, eating slowly lets your body metabolize better and you can last longer at the hungar table or that growling in your stomach, besides that ''growling you hear is burning calories the calories are collapsing..lol...nah just kidding ya but do try the other.
stay away from the cheese sticks..period.
if your at work try low fat gronola bar or fruit like apple or maybe some celery sticks

Hi Ann,

I generally eat for breakfast oatmeal with fruit. If I add nuts, then I have one serving of oatmeal. If I don't then I have 2/3 of a cup of oatmeal with extra fruit. This keeps me full for about 3 hours and about an hour of that is high intensity exercise. You might want to add some extra fiber such as having more cereal or you may want to bring an apple with you to work for a snack or make a little tray of veggies to bring with you and eat that with your cheese. The veggies will help fill you up and make it seem like you ate much more than you did calorie wise.

annb,

I find that a cup of coffee turns off my stomach grumbling.

thanks for the advice I will try oatmeal and I do bring celery with sugar free peanut butter. I drink 2 cups of coffee at work and then drink water the rest of the day. I was talking to a friend of mine and she told she had the same problem, that I might have to bear it, till my metobolism is set. I guess I am not taking in that much calories and my body is eating my fat, which is good I guess, I just wish it would do it quietier LOL. I have lost 4 lbs.
