Hi!! Well I have finally had to face the full spectrum of bp. dh has always went manic with physcotic episodes and I have learned how to deal with those. But now he is on the far end of the scale depressed with physcotic episodes. Went to pdoc today new meds: paxil, geodone, and continue with lithobid. Any thoughts or ideas out there to help me thru the next few weeks while we play the lets wait and see game? Never had to deal with severe depression before, just mild cases and never with physcotic episodes . pdoc and myself have no worry of suicide, not that I havent worried about it. as always I WANT TO BELIEVE. that someday there will be 1 magic pill for all.

There is hope. That one pill may not come in out lifetime. However, do not loose hope. There are some very good meds out there and some new promising treatment coming.

You know, yoga just stresses me out even more. I am NOT flexible and I do not look good in lycra ... so, that would be out of the question for myself.
However, I love to keep myself occupied with music, or books, and I have become a scrabble fanatic in an attempt to try to keep my mind off things.
Just try to take one day at a time ... and breathe. If anything, yoga taught me how to do that :)

It took my husband a very long time to get the right medications but we are finally there!! Not to say that he never gets depressed or angry anymore because he does, but now he knows what to do with it, after all we all have our moods. Good luck
