Hi, I've read all the threads associated with ear, throat and nose and I haven't found anyone with the same symptons that I have....

I have ear pain on a regular basis; it feels as if i've slept on my ear in a wrong position. It occurs at night, day, afternoon; when i'm indoors or outdoors. I went to an ear, throat specilist and they couldn't find anything wrong. they told me that it may be because I may be tightening my jaws when I sleep; but it occurs when I'm awake; then they said it's because i'm getting too much air in my ear; but then it also occurs when i'm inside.

The ear pain feels like my ear was bent in half; the pain is behind my ear. At times not all the time my jaw hurts along with the ear.

does anyone know what this could be?

You should probably see a dentist to find out if you have TMJ. That's what it sounds like to me. I have it because I clench and grind my teeth all the time, even during the day (probably more so during the day than I ever realize). It has resulted in a lot of jaw pain and many times referral pain to the ear which I don't always realize is jaw-related.

See, if you clench your teeth hard enough, then it can inflame the joint that is in your jaw, which causes referral pain to the ear. Do a search on the net on TMJ and see if it sounds like your symptoms. But I have a feeling that's what your problem is. Go see a dentist, too, because they can usually tell you.

Also, if you have any silver fillings on the bottom teeth and you look at them in the mirror and they're like mega-super shiny, chances are you clench and grind your teeth. Your silver fillings would not get shiny unless you were grinding your teeth.
