My 7 yr old grand daughter has been having this condition for the past several months. Her finger tips on both hands and her toes are peeling. On one of her fingers she has a nail that is completely white and almost falling off. There is no pain or redness or pus. My boss who is a pedi dr could not find what is wrong. She advises us to take her to a dermatologist.

Anyone know what is going on??

Thanks
Mary

a derm would be a good idea but you really need to know how her actual peripheral circulation is too.does she feel normal sensations in the tips when they are touched?are they less sensitive or possibly more sensitive than the rest of her hand?do they look a bit bluer or paler than the rest of her hands?if you take a needle or pin and just very lightly poke the tips, does she feel that?FB
